How pricing and quotations work

What to send on WhatsApp

  • Your name, vehicle registration, make/model and mileage
  • The service or repair you need, or the fault symptoms
  • A photograph of the MOT failure report, if relevant
  • Whether the vehicle drives safely or needs recovery
  • Any existing fault report or useful photographs

For serious engine faults, do not run a distressed engine just to record the noise. We will discuss the assessment needed before major work is agreed.

Workshop FAQs

Before you book

Do Ingenium engines use wet timing belts?

No. JLR 2.0 AJ200D/AJ200P engines use timing chains. We assess timing chain, balance shaft, turbo and oil dilution faults.

Which engines do you assess for wet-belt concerns?

Wet-belt-equipped Ford 1.0 EcoBoost, Ford 2.0 EcoBlue and earlier 1.2 PureTech variants. Other versions, including Ford 1.5 EcoBoost, are identified before the timing design is specified.

How long does an engine rebuild take?

Typically 1–3 weeks depending on parts availability and internal damage.
