Check the tyre specification before booking
You supply the tyres for this service. The size, load rating, speed rating and vehicle requirements need to match; a similar-looking size is not an equivalent specification. Tell us about run-flat tyres, unusual wheel sizes or any specialist wheel arrangement before booking so suitability can be confirmed. If a tyre has been purchased used, its condition also needs assessment before fitting. Visible damage, age-related deterioration or an unsuitable specification can make a tyre inappropriate even if it fits onto the wheel.
Wheel condition, valves and fitting suitability
A tyre leak can come from a damaged valve, corrosion around the sealing area, a cracked wheel or tyre damage. We consider the visible wheel and tyre condition before fitting. Let us know if the wheel has had a previous repair or if pressure loss has been recurring. Tyre-pressure monitoring systems may require a compatible valve and care during fitting. The agreed job depends on the wheel, tyre and relevant components; call first rather than arrive with a combination that may need a different process or cannot safely be fitted.
Bring the details needed for a fitting enquiry
Send your registration, tyre size, number of tyres and whether the wheels are on the car or loose. Confirm whether you have a locking wheel-nut key and mention any damaged nuts or bolts. We do not keep tyre stock, so arrange the correct tyres before the appointment. Ask about the work included in the fitting quote, including any relevant valve or balancing requirement. If an existing tyre is unsafe, flat or badly damaged, avoid driving to the workshop and discuss transport or loose-wheel arrangements beforehand.
Workshop FAQs
Before you book
Do you supply tyres?
This service is for tyres supplied by the customer. Arrange the correct tyres before booking.
Will a different profile or load rating be acceptable?
It must meet the vehicle's specification. Send the full size and ratings so suitability can be checked.
Can you fit a tyre to a damaged wheel?
Wheel condition must be assessed first. Damage or cracks can make fitting unsafe or fail to resolve the leak.
